Claims related debts and excess payments
If you are having difficulty repaying a claims related debt or paying an excess due to financial hardship, we will consider your circumstances and discuss options that may help, such as:
We consider requests on a case by case basis. We may ask for information to understand your circumstances and what support is available. We only ask for what is reasonably necessary, and in some situations a verbal or written declaration may be enough.
If you are entitled to a benefit under policy issued by us and you tell us you have an urgent financial need, we will prioritise the assessment of your claim. In some cases, we may be able to consider an advance payment to provide short-term assistance.
